Ads - Love at 2nd Sight​

Here (not) by accident

Kinda. I definitely wasn’t the person whose dream since childhood was to become people’s main source for ads questions and help. In fact, a job like that just started slowly emerging when I was entering university. Besides, during that time, I studied business…because that’s what you study when you don’t know what you want to be. Through a whole range of different events, I ended up working at Google right after my Master’s degree. Being part of the account strategist team, I helped companies troubleshoot and grow with Google Ads and Analytics. Without knowing it back then, I was building up an immense amount of expertise in a very short time.

After leaving Google (and cold rainy Ireland), I decided that now or never was the time to do something different: 

While I was half-motivated applying for jobs, I slowly started taking on the first clients for Google Ads projects. I soon started noticing a trend – there really weren’t a lot of people out there who had groomed their ads and data analysis skills the way I had the chance to while working at Google.

Pretty soon, my company and boutique ads agency ‘Ajala Digital’, a Google Partner, was born. Overall, the baby needed a name (more on that another time)!

Without any funding until today and 100% bootstrapped, I’ve now been running the company completely location-independently since 7+ years. From day 1, the focus was set to quality rather than quantity. This is why me and my team only work with a few selected clients at any point in time. So they can get the ads performance and service that they deserve.
